A life in erasable moments, loosely attached.

One of the things i enjoy very much about London, or perhaps England, except I haven’t been to much of the rest of England, is the sense of humour and somewhat sardonic authoritativeness of train captains. On the tube it is not rare to hear some sort of scolding through the announcement system, telling everyone off for not moving in when that’s clearly the only way everyone is gonna get home.

On today’s train ride, we were reminded that there was a second pick-up point so we should keep to our assigned seats. When we got to the second point, the captain started with, “Musical chairs is fun, but please do take your assigned seats.” And in warning people about getting ready for disembarkation in ten minutes while the train speeds on at 300km/h, he reminded us to be careful and take care of one another as we “wobble through the aisles”. 😁
